MAIN JANE BLOCKS COMPLETE!!!

MMMM Cheesecake for breakfast. There's nothing like a little self indulgence on your day. I'm thrilled to report that after staying up late last night and taking a bit of time today, the blocks are FINISHED!!

My birthday wish is that all of you make time for yourself, a little bit every day over the course of the next year. You'd be amazed at things you are capable of with the gift of precious time in a busy world. Thank you, Tiny for reminding me that life begins at 40 in the Netherlands, I've adopted the mantra. Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes! They're truly appreciated.

G-7, Center block

Pink & Green is one of my favorite combinations and has been for many years. The print is one of Judie Rothermel's early fabrics and was very difficult to locate. Thanks to an amazing fabric angel, a perfect shade of pink arrived not long ago in the pattern of my grandmother's favorite flower, Lily of the Valley. The green was found at last year's Chicago International Quilt Festival---where I happy danced in the aisles.

Best Wishes,
Heather
=)

  4. Wow, huge accomplishement! What a way to ring in 40. Now you've got me thinking about what I should do before I hit my birthday in May. Maybe not quite enough time to whip up a DJ?

  13. This was an interesting choice of colours, making it an unusual block. Never seen anything like it but I like it :)

  14. Happy belated birthday wishes, and congrats on the awesome finish! I LOVE the colors you picked for the DJ! It's not like you just finished a king size quilt of half square triangles. You finished a DJ! I would have finished off ALL the cheesecake! Thank you for inspiring us newbies that found you through the blog hop!
