Remember how excited I got over Stefanie Roman's tutorial for the cutest note cards EVER? I'm still making them and they're so cute, I even forget to take pics before I send them on their merry way! This week, she's having a giveaway and you must check it out if you haven't already. Let's just say it's a quilter's dream.
Imagine my surprise to find a bit of Alice in Wonderland in my treasure box of last week, perfect for J-5. I adore this print and had just a small portion of a green version in a 1" strip used for an early combination block. Some of your Dear Jane blocks will not use much focus fabric at all, so do save your scraps if you're considering this project. Despite fussy cutting the Alice characters, I still have about half of the 8" or so charm remaining. Speaking of charms, mail call this week included some lovely ones.
The first is a large package of swapped charms and the second, a goodie envelope just because! YAY fun mail!! A big thank you to the fabric fairies.
In other news, I spent yesterday at my favorite local quilt shop and had a wonderful time. I still have most of the 30s they offer but did find a few civil war reproductions for a gift and a couple for the charity blocks coming up.
**This week's featured tutorial on Twitter is a great one! See you Tuesday for the details and I do hope you'll piece and sew along with me. **
Happy Quilting!
